|
 |
| Systems/Systems Engineering
panel has been established to promote basic as well as applied research and development
projects related to systems incorporated in military and civil aircraft. Since
its inception in 1972, the panel has supported projects in academic institutions,
R&D Laboratories, industries etc., spread through out the country. The Systems/Systems
Engineering Panel has been making all out efforts in catching up with the technology
at all times.Civil and Military Aircraft have been flying for many years now. |
| The panel also addresses itself to all the
problems related to operation of civil and military aircraft, research and development
programmes in relevant fields, improved reliability and maintainability of aircraft
and systems supporting aviation, programmes in atmospheric research and on other
fields of relevance to aircraft operations. |
 |
| The operational efficiency of pilots in the
cockpits and their safety largely depends on the level of man machine interface.
Human engineering research assumes great significance in the areas of cockpit
design, G Tolerance, development of personal protective equipment and flying clothes,
enhancing safety of design and equipment such as artificial horizon peripheral
visual monitor, G-LOC detection system, appropriate visual auditory warning signal
etc. The scope of the panel is very wide and also include subjects like aviation
medicine, Bio engineering, physiology, psychology and anthropometry in relation
to the aircraft design and flight safety. |
